1. Assembly Manual

The Assembly Manual is the appendix to the Operation and Maintenance Manual of the system of container stairs by the company TLC.

Container stairs consist of individual elements acc. to the specification attached to the delivery. The system has screw-tightened connections and pins. The system is supplied in the form of separate elements such as platforms, railings, steps, connectors, stairs, posts. The elements are assembled in a specific order.

Container stairs as a modular construction can be freely configured according to needs. The arrangement of individual configurations shall comply with the OMM. 9 basic configurations of container stairs are shown below.

4. Assembly operations for individual components of the system of container stairs.

The Assembly Manual was prepared in a way that shows how to assemble individual components of the system of container stairs.

4.1. Assembly of the Brackets

Assembly of brackets consists in embedding a bracket clamp bracket in a container socket, next overlapping the bracket and screwing it using the set of Washer, Nut.

4.2. Assembly of the Platforms

Platforms are assembled on brackets and then bolted using the set of Bolt, Washer, Nut.

In the case of mounting stairs to the platform, at that side the platform should be supported by two posts or a bracket and posts.

In the case when assembly of the platform on brackets is not possible, it should be supported in four sockets with posts and bolted to adjacent platform that is assembled on brackets. Adjacent platforms should be bolted with each other using the set of Washer PK, Bolt, Washer, Nut.

4.3. Assembly of the Posts

The posts should be embedded in sockets of platforms.

The height of the post should be adjusted to the height of the container to which the stairs are mounted. To do so, disassemble cotter pins, adjust the height, embed the cotter pins in appropriate openings.

The posts that are installed next to the stairs should be assembled so that the notch in the pin of the post is facing the hook of the stairs.

Two adjacent platforms should be supported by one post, the pin of which covers two sockets.

In the case of multi-floor arrangement of the container stairs, the platforms should be supported by posts from the ground level to the last platform.

4.4. Assembly of the Stairs

The stairs have hooks that facilitate the assembly, they should be hung on the sockets of the platform and then bolted using the set of Bolt, Washer, Nut.

The stairs can be mounted to the platforms, depending on the needs, at four sides.

4.5. Assembly of the Connector LP

The Connector LP should be bolted to the bracket using the set of Bolt, Washer PK, Washer, Nut. In the case of assembly of the connector in a series of platforms, it should be bolted to the bracket and to the platform.

4.6. Assembly of the Connector LP2/LP3

The Connector LP2/LP3 is mounted on the parapet of the container and bolted to the structure of the container stairs, it prevents the platform to move away from the container in the case when the platform is assembled on one bracket and the two posts along the container.

4.7. Assembly of the Railings

Assembly of the railings consists in embedding the railing in the sockets of the platform and then bolting the railing to the platform using the set of Bolt, Washer, Nut. Optionally, the railings have openings which serve to secure the railing with a cotter pin.

Assembly of the stairs railing is carried out by embedding the railing on the pins of the stairs and the securing it using the set of Bolt, Nut.

4.8. Assembly of the Concentrations

In the case of assembly of the platforms only on the posts, it is necessary to mount the concentrations and bolt them to the frame of the container with the Connectors LP2 or LP3
